Meatball Approved: Cinnamon- Honey Yogurt Treats

Meatball's Yogurt Mustache

Since my days are consumed with working and spending endless amount of time playing with our new pug puppy Meatball I figured I would share a recipe with you all that is super fast and easy.  When I was growing up, we would give our dog a frozen dog dessert that they sold in the market as a "special treat." No wonder why we didn't give it to him all the time! It was super expensive! I found an idea for a similar treat in Rachael Ray magazine that was super simple and used leftovers I usually have in my fridge.

Meatball & Gunny: Already in Love
To try it out I gave my friend Jen the recipe for her Bulldog puppy Gunny and he loved them! Score! One dog down.I also tried them out on a Yorkie-Chihuahua mix Marley. She also approved.  I figured it was time for Meatball to try these delicious treats! I had some left over plain yogurt and an unused ice cube tray and voila! In 2 minutes of actual work and an hour of freezing Meatball had delicious dog treats that cost little to nothing! Of course some dogs have food allergies so check with your vet to make sure these foods are good for your dog.

The results: Meatball is obsessed with these treats! She constantly has yogurt on her face, but that's ok.  I usually give one to her when she has been extra good! I feel alot better giving these to her because they aren't full of preservatives and she loves them all the same. Due to her name, she will eat just about anything, but I am totally confidant that your dogs will like them too!

  4. What a cute idea. My Hadley loves ice cream so she might go for these. I foresee a huge mess, though. :)

  5. Hey Anita! I put it in her dish so the mess is minamized. However, I did notice once she picked it up and put it in her bed. Lol.
